Surangi Mini (सुरंगी)

A Unique Flower, found only in Konkan region. One must give a try to Slightly pungent but sweet Aroma of this flower.

Surangi is( Botanical name Mammea Suriga) is a rare plant species of flowering plant in family Calophyllaceae. It is a slow growing medium-sized plant dark green plant bearing fragrant white flowers.

The are hosting these plants is very small which stretches from Southern Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, Sindhudurga, Goa and coastal Karnataka like Mangaluru, Udupi and Karwar.

Flowers are in bunches can be seen on branches as well as main trunk of flower. Very attractive smell always pulls honey bees from vicinity. Flowering season starts in December last and ends with February.
